Current FSC rules define virtual-asset providers as those performing exchange, transfer, custody, or financial services connected with issuance or sale for others. Its AML-registration rules say a VASP may not operate until it is a member of the Taiwan Virtual Asset Service Provider Association and completes the applicable AML registration. The Virtual Asset Services Act was promulgated on 22 July 2026, but the official text says it is not yet in force; once effective, it will require permission and a licence by service type. That future licence does not prove current approval of a brand: confirm the provider, activity, and status directly.
