Regulatory Framework
Kyrgyzstan's financial regulator says a virtual asset is not currency, a means of payment, or a security. It also states that it supervises virtual-asset service providers and requires reporting, internal-control, risk-management, and anti-money-laundering compliance; in June 2026 it issued corrective orders to some providers. Official rules include procedures for virtual-asset trading and exchange operators and mining certificates.
