Crypto in Georgia

The NBG requires registration as a virtual-asset service provider (VASP) and says it is prohibited to provide those services without NBG registration or applicable financial-sector authorisation. The NBG publishes the register and registration requirements. December 2025 amendments gave the NBG full supervisory authority over VASPs, and March 2026 regulation covers initial offerings of stable virtual assets, including reserves, redemption, information, and risk management.
