Regulatory Framework
The Bank of Ghana's virtual-assets page presents the 2025 VASP Act as the basis for registration, licensing, and supervision. Its July 2025 mandatory-registration notice expressly says registration is not a licence, legal recognition, or approval to operate. In February 2026, the Bank of Ghana and SEC directed VASPs to stop mass advertising unless expressly authorised. Do not confuse registration, a sandbox, advertising, or a digital presence with a current licence.
