Independent regulator of financial services conducted in or from DIFC. Its updated crypto-token framework took effect in January 2026 and makes authorised firms responsible for assessing token suitability under DFSA rules, with additional stablecoin, fund, custody, disclosure, and market-integrity safeguards. DFSA does not publish a prescribed-token list, and its DIFC perimeter is distinct from VARA's Dubai-wide virtual-asset regime.
