An incentive layer turning spare disk space into a storage market.

An incentive layer turning spare disk space into a storage market.

Filecoin builds an economic market on top of IPFS: storage providers commit disk capacity and continuously prove they still hold the data they were paid to keep, using cryptographic proofs rather than trust. It is one of the largest DePIN networks by committed capacity, and its more recent direction has extended toward compute over stored data rather than storage alone.
