Banco de la Republica confirms that crypto assets are not legal tender, money, or financial assets and describes a legislative vacuum concerning crypto assets. Superfinanciera's page records a crypto pilot that ended in June 2024; it must not be read as a general approval of providers or a ban on private holding.

According to the notice, using or simulating unauthorised means of payment is prohibited, and the BCE may notify the Attorney General's Office of identified cases. Each guide shows its next review date. Always confirm your residence, activity, and transaction with the authority or a local professional before filing.
